Simple Works Design owner Leah Stahlsmith is an Accredited Staging Professional through StagedHomes.com and board member of the International Association of Home Staging Professionals (IAHSP), where she serves as the Membership Chair and as the Staging Service Day "Co-Ambassador" with her business associate, Susan Gold (www.stagerightnow.com). Recently she and Susan helped raise over $5000 in contributions for the Staging Service Day donation agency, TeenHOPE, located in Shoreline, WA. Leah is also a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers, Seattle Chapter. She is trained in the Freedom Filer filing system, and can help you cure your paper pain! Leah was selected to be the judge of the Rubbermaid Seattle's Messiest Closet contest, as seen on King5 news. This fall Leah team-taught the Home Staging class with Erika Bauermeister, at the Phinney Ridge Community Center, and she is teaching the class again January 24th. January is also national Get Organized month. She’s presenting an organizing workshop at the Greenwood Senior Center on January 9th and 23rd, from 1-3pm.

Leah writes a monthly column, Feel Right at Home, for both the North Seattle Herald Outlook and the Madison Park Times. The column features tips for getting organized, staging for living and other ideas to help you feel right at home.

Leah is an active member of her community. She is the Community Services Chair for the Bellevue-Seattle Chapter of the American Sewing Guild and organized an intergenerational sewing event where over 25 quilts were sewn for Project Linus. She also started the "A Time to Sew" program at the Greenwood Senior Center. The program is designed to pair experienced sewers with those wanting to learn or improve their skills. Leah also regularly volunteers to teach introductory computer classes at her local Neighborhood Community Center.
